Morningside Men Finish Fourth in Baker Play at NAIA West Tournament
LAWRENCE, Kan. — The Morningside men’s bowling team competed in two tournaments over the weekend at the NAIA West Tournament, held at Royal Crest Lanes, finishing with a pair of top-seven team performances against a 16-team field.
LAWRENCE, Kan. — The Morningside men's bowling team competed in two tournaments over the weekend at the NAIA West Tournament, held at Royal Crest Lanes, finishing with a pair of top-seven team performances against a 16-team field.
In the opening tournament, which featured individual game formats, the Mustangs placed seventh with a total of 4,830 pins. Michael Kruse III led Morningside individually, finishing 10th overall after rolling 1,033 pins for a 206 average. Hunter Noteboom also posted a strong showing, recording a 205 average to help pace the Mustangs' lineup.
Morningside continued its strong weekend in the second tournament, which used a Baker game format. The Mustangs improved to a fourth-place finish, scoring 4,798 pins to close the event.
The Mustangs will return to action at the 2026 KCAC Men's Bowling Championship on Feb. 21 in Topeka, Kan.
