No. 23 Mustangs out-muscle Bulldogs with five double-digit scorers

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – For the second time in 18 days, the Morningside University men's basketball team staved off Concordia.
The No. 23 Mustangs defeated the (RV) Bulldogs with an 82-69 win at Allee Gymnasium on Wednesday night.
The Mustangs led 45-30 at the half, but the Bulldogs chipped their deficit to one point as late as 7 minutes, 50 seconds left in the game. From that point on, Morningside closed the game on a 19-7 run.
Morningside was 28-for-59 from the floor, and had five guys who scored in double figures. Justin Sitti and Daniel Brocaille both scored 18 points, both had seven rebounds and one assist.
Brocaille scored his points off the bench, making six of 11 shots. He also made three 3-pointers, including two in the second half. Brocaille also collected four offensive rebounds.
"Dan wanted it more," said head coach Trent Miller on the KMNS-AM postgame show. "He wanted it more than those guys. We're very grateful that he did. He's been huge for us all season."
Sitti, meanwhile, went into halftime with 14 points. Overall, Sitti made six of nine shots, and four free throws.
His 18 points were a career high, and the fifth time he's reached double digits this season.
"We were excited to see him take off," Miller said. "The guy works his tail off and he reaps the benefits. When he plays like that, it really helps us on both sides of the ball."
The other double-digit scorers were: Joey Skoff (15), Brendan Buckley (11), and Aidan Vanderloo (11).
