Sellon secures Week 12 GPAC Offensive Player of the Week

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — For the second time this season, Morningside junior wide receiver Drew Sellon has been named the Great Plains Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Sellon caught seven passes for 126 yards in Saturday's 34-28 overtime win over Dordt, with three of those receptions going for touchdowns. It marked his third three-touchdown performance of the season.
His first score came with 11 minutes, 37 seconds left in the opening quarter on a 24-yard connection from quarterback Zack Chevalier. In the second quarter, the Fremont, Neb., native added a 36-yard touchdown reception.
Then, in overtime, on third-and-seven from the Dordt 9-yard line, Sellon hauled in the game-winning touchdown to secure the GPAC's automatic bid into the Football Championship Series.
Sellon enters the postseason tied for the NAIA lead in receiving touchdowns (17) and leads the nation in receiving yards per game (122.8). He has totaled 1,228 yards this fall.
