Mside lands atop final NAIA poll

Morningside University was at the head of the class on the final National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics' First Down Playbook coaches' top 25, released Wednesday, Dec. 22.

Head coach Steve Ryan's Mustangs, completing a 14-0 campaign with a 38-28 victory over Grand View University in the Football Championship Series finale Dec. 18, earned all 18 first-place votes and 418 poll points. The national runner-up Vikings (No. 2), Lindsey Wilson College of Kentucky (No. 3), Northwestern College (No. 4), and Marian University of Indiana (No. 5) rounded out the first five.
