Mside rebounds into bye week
Rising sophomore Seth Hoekstra was a top laner for Morningside College's summer regional League of Legends team Wednesday, June 26.
According to head coach Dean Stevens' staff, he pressed the University Laboratory's junior varsity squad throughout the entire game despite being ambushed at one point. "Seth's play was part of the team displaying their strength with great rotations to destroy enemy towers," an assistant coach noted. "(This all occurred) without (our team) losing any of theirs."
The Mustangs imposed their will from the beginning, with the enemy jungle being invaded in the first 45 seconds which led to the first kill. The match-up lasted 27 minutes and 32 seconds with a score of 16x5 champion kills for Morningside.
Stevens' crew takes a 3-1 record into the holiday break week. They return to action Wednesday, July 10.
