Knowler named Coach of the Year

KANSAS CITY, MO. – Following Morningside's history-making performances at the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics National Championship, the NAIA has named Alisha Knowler its 2022 Dance Coach of the Year.

"It's hard to put into words how this feels," started Knowler.  "This team's success was the goal for the season, but I'm beyond honored and excited to receive this recognition. It's a huge accomplishment that I definitely couldn't have achieved without my amazing team.  These girls work so hard, and I love coaching all of them!"

In addition to claiming its first national championship title and recording the highest score in championship history, Knowler's squad also claimed its third consecutive conference title and second consecutive regional qualifying competition title in its 2022 campaign.
