Bio

The standout guard played basketball for the Maroons from 1969-72, and tallied 892 points during his career, ranking fourth on the all-time scoring list at the time of his graduation. Weaver earned All-North Central Conference, All-Region, and NAIA District 15 honors during his senior season, where he averaged 15.7 points per game. Weaver received the prestigious Emil S. Liston Award from the NAIA, awarded to one athlete nationally in recognition for athletic achievement, scholastic performance, and campus leadership.

He compiled an extraordinary collegiate coaching career, starting first at Westmar (1978-80), then Wayne State (1980-85) before embarking on a 25-year stint at Baker University in Kansas. At Baker, Weaver won 357 games, three Heart of America Conference titles, and a berth in the 1996 NAIA National Tournament.
