Bio

A four-year starter in the outfield, T.J. Sitzmann was a two-time All-North Central Conference selection, being cited in 1989, and 1991. Playing for coach Jim Scholten, the slugger had a banner year in 1991 when he batted.367 with seven home runs, and 31 RBIs, being named the NCC’s Most Valuable Player. He led the NCC in home runs that year with six, and helped Morningside to a second-place finish in the Southern Division, and 20-17 overall record. In 1989, Sitzmann hit .348 with 10 homers, and 37 RBIs. He had a career batting average of .342.
