Bio

A two-time All-North Central Conference performer, Melanie Prince played in 167 games over her four-year (1990-93) Morningside softball career. In her senior season, Prince helped Morningside to a runner-up finish in the rugged NCC by hitting.375 with 35 RBIs as the team compiled a 32-19 overall record. Morningside lost to perennial power Augustana 4-3 in the NCC championship contest. She posted a.316 career batting average with 25 doubles, eight triples, eight home runs, and 94 RBIs.

Prince also compiled a two-year pitching mark of 11-7 with a 1.86 earned run average, and 56 strikeouts in 113 innings.
