Bio
Walter Olsen earned All-North Central Conference first-team honors in 1938 after leading Morningside to a NCC championship. He led the team with nearly eight points per game scoring average while the Maroons compiled one of the finest seasons in school history with a 14-5 overall record, and 8-2 mark in the NCC. The team qualified for the National Intercollegiate Basketball Tournament in Kansas City, where they were defeated by North Texas State Teachers 31-29 in the opening round.
