Bio
A long-time Morningside educator, and administrator, Dr. Sharon Ocker served the athletic department in a variety of capacities, including the official scorekeeper for men’s basketball for 29 years. He served as Morningside’s faculty representative to the North Central Conference for 22 years, and received an NCC award for service.
Dr. Ocker authored a history book of Morningside basketball, and wrote an athletics column entitled “M-Club Messenger” for many years. He served the department of education at Morningside for 29 years, including chair for 23 years. Dr. Ocker received an Outstanding Faculty of the Year award, and the prestigious Order of Morningside.
