Bio
Dick Norman came to Morningside as a multi-sport athlete, and participated in football, basketball, baseball, and track. He made his best mark on the hardwood, playing guard for coach Al Buckingham’s squad. Norman was part of a high-powered Morningside offense in the 1953-54 season that set school records for points per game (77.5), and most points in a game, a 110 -point explosion against Augustana. Norman was selected to the All-North Central Conference squad in 1954, leading the team to a 12-9 overall record, and 8-4 mark in league play, good for third place, just one game from a share of the title.
