Bio
A native of Alton, Iowa, Dave Mulder came to Morningside in 1957 as a business, and physical education major, and played on the Maroons’ basketball, and baseball squads, competing for long-time coaches Chuck Obye, and Don Protexter, respectively. He was an All-North Central Conference infielder in 1960, and a key component of a conference championship team that went 6-0 in league play, and 15-6 overall. He led the NCC in RBIs that season.
Mulder’s teaching, and coaching career included positions at Northwestern College and Sioux Center High School. He also served as State Senator of Iowa’s 2nd District.
