Bio

One of the most prolific scorers in Morningside basketball history, Denison, Iowa, native Chris Kuhlmann held virtually every scoring record at the time of his graduation in 1992. Kuhlmann scored 1,950 points in his career, including a single game record of 54 versus Nebraska-Kearney in 1991. A two-time All-North Central Conference performer, Kuhlmann led the NCC in scoring in ’91 with a 23.1 per game average, and ended his career as the league’s third all-time scorer with 1,241 points in 72 league contests. The scoring machine tallied 1,361 points during his final two seasons, firing 696 points in 1990 for a 24.0 average, and 665 in 1991 for a 24.6 per game average. He scored 690 field goals, and 206 three-point goals in his career.

Kuhlmann was inducted into the Iowa High School Athletic Association Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012.
