Bio
A two-time All-North Central Conference performer in football, Sioux City native Roger Hansen also competed in basketball, and baseball for the Maroons, earning eight varsity letters. He excelled in football, doubling as a tight end, and defensive end, and was the NCC’s top receiver in 1962 with 18 catches for 266 yards in six league games. He signed a free agent contract with the Kansas City Chiefs, and later had a tryout with the Oakland Raiders, appearing in five exhibition games.
