Bio
A 1930 graduate, Lowell Crippen was a two-sport athlete, and rare All-North Central Conference performer in two sports, being cited in football in 1928, and basketball in 1929. Crippen was a well-known high school teacher, and coach, serving at Mapleton, Moville, Harlan, and Sioux City Leeds for many years. He was inducted into the Iowa High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
Later in his career, he assisted coach Dan Callahan as basketball coach at Morningside, including the 1975 NAIA National Tournament squad.
