Bio

The Sioux City native played four seasons for the Maroon basketball squad, capped off with a stellar 1950 season where he led the team with a 15.0 scoring average, and was named to the North Central Conference first team.

A star athlete for the Central High Little Maroons, Bristow served in World War II before starting his education at Morningside. He was a member of the 1947 conference championship team. He played semi-pro ball briefly for the Waterloo Hawks before embarking upon a teaching, and coaching career, including stops at Buffalo Center, and in Davenport.
